Should you go to a large university or a smaller college?

Deciding what school you should go to requires a lot of thought and planning.  Universities typically have a larger student enrollment and offer many more options for your education.  There are three major advantages to going to a university as opposed to a smaller college.

The first advantage is the actual degree.  Typically a university degree will have more 'clout' than a smaller college degree.  It isn't always the case, but universities have a good reputation for providing a quality education at three different levels--the Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates.

The second advantage is the social education.  Because you will be attending a university with a large amount of people, you will be more diverse socially and many employers will look favorably at this.

Of course the main advantage of going to a university for your college education:  You will have more choices for your curriculum and major.  What if, for example you decide to go to a liberal arts college and get half way through your freshman year when you realize that you really hate all of your classes and want to change your major?  At a university you would have the option of selecting another curriculum offered without having to move or switch schools.

These are all things to consider when you are looking at colleges.
